OpenGL + 3D card

Hi!
Can someone tell me how to force OpenGL to work with 3D cards? And also can OpenGL support 3D card in window-mode ???

err, openGl does work with 3D cards if they support it. Some cards are lame, such as the savage3/4 which will not run ogl no matter how much you try. Ironically if they dont bother implimenting a driver, they will run in software (only opengl 1.1 though).
