I have read about vertex arrays, call lists and quadircs - and I can't understand - does it is possible to use combination of vertex arrays and quadrics? I mean, it's possible to place vertex data quadric figure in vertex array? I think - no, because quadrics functions just drawing figures. What can I do, to reach my aim?
(sorry for my english)

greets,
Ray

Quadrics are a good way to start learning OpenGL and making small apps.
However, when you want to use vertex-arrays, you are forced to do the maths behind the quadrics by yourself.

yeah, I was afraid about it... http://www.opengl.org/discussion_boards/ubb/frown.gif
well, from your reply flows one question:
because of I want write a game,
what should I prefere - vertex arrays and my own quadric functions or standard q. functions and lists?

As you have more control over vertex arrays, they are likely to be faster. However, you might find things are a lot easier and run at an acceptable speed using GLU quadrics.

I'm interesting in... any example?
