Though i have used much of ogl funxtions,
i havent used nvidia ogl extensions much yet.
where can i find a list of ogl extensions and brief explanations of them?
Does ati also have ogl extensions?
Does that extensions also peresnt in DirectX?

All official extensions are registered at the OpenGL Extensions Registry, maintained by SGI at : http://oss.sgi.com/projects/ogl-sample/registry

Yes, you will find them in the above link too.
Though, ATi now mostly relies on ARB extensions while nVidia still is very active on vendor-specific extensions. There are lots of pros and cons with either of the point of views, but please don’t argue about them because it’s rather considered a flame war.

AFAIK DirectX doesn’t have an extension mechanism.
