game programing

Hello people, I’ve just started my first attemp at making a game, i’m using opengl
and SDL.

Are there any free sites on the net like
gameinstitute i can sign up too.

www.gamedev.net might be a good place to start at least.

Mikael

thank but been there, thanks for the help

Check out some of the links on www.libSDL.org, some of the games created with SDL should have open source for you to look at how they did their game.

All sites already mentioned are great and I use them all the time

I found this one recently, looks good:

always alwaya ALWAYS take a look at www.gamasutra.com. If you can’t afford subscribing to Game Developer magazine at least use their online portal. The content is free and it’s excellent. If you want to learn your stuff the right way, look at what the pros have to say. There’s no complete tutorials and fewer sample code but the topics cover almost every aspect of game development and the archives are huge.
