Will disabling and enabling client states slow my program down (if i do it a lot)?

I've read that turning states on and off
can degrade performance... I can't remember
where

to help minimize state changes
check out:
glPushClientAttrib()
glPopClientAttrib()

Thats what im asking if pushclientstate and popclientstate effect performance that much.

Why are you trying to get answers before you know if it's going to be a problem. Simply bench it. http://www.opengl.org/discussion_boards/ubb/smile.gif
Use the HighPerformanceCounter and measure the performance of the alternatives you have.
