is there any free software like 3dmax?
don’t really have 5000 dollars…
need modeling and rendering…
not really opengl question but I though that you could help me…
gmax from the same company as max (discreet) is prolly your best bet for the closest thing to max for no money.
There are a lot’s of very good 3D graphics programs out there that are free.
www.povray.org Long time freeware rendering software which is supported by a lot of 3D modeling programs.
Breeze Designer is 3D scene modeling program that supports POVray rendering. Also export models to DXF and other formats.
Blender is a free modeler, animation and rendering. Also can make 3D games with it.
Strata 3D has a free version of there software.

Try out MilkShape
