Is there some site where they list equivalent video cards.

For example, when somebody says a TNT2 class video card...what does that mean?

I know it means "a video card that supports the same features as a TNT", but it would be nice if there was a site that has them nicely listed.

That is about like the Rage chipset from ATI I think. As for an actual list can't say I have heard of one. The main generations to remeber are geforce 256/ radeon are dx7 hardware T&L enabled. Radeon 8500/geforce 3 first cards with shaders. radeon 9X/ geforce 4 dx9 support pixel shaders 1.4 or something like that.

It will help you to come up to speed by reading articles from www.cnet.com, (http://www.cnet.com,) www.tomshardware.com, (http://www.tomshardware.com,) www.anandtech.com, (http://www.anandtech.com,) etc. Look for the product reviews/comparisons.
