Card good enough?

hi

is a Matrox mistique pci card compatible with opengl drivers?

Hardly. Forget it.

The OpenGL video drivers are written by the card maker. You need to go to the Matrox site for thier current OpenGL drivers.

You can do basic opengl stuff, for real complex 3D scene’s you will need a APG card.

I’ve just checked the product pages again and found out that there might indeed be a Mystique card that would be enough for basic OpenGL operation. Check your exact model number (links provided)

Mystique 220 <- very very bad, lacks lots of blending modes and stuff, would have never made it through OpenGL 1.0 compliance testing, let alone 1.3

Mystique G200 <- slow but quite workable
