Linear Algebra Book

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a Linear Algebra book? Someone told me that “Elementary Linear Algebra: Applications Version” by Howard Anton was really good. Is it? Or do you all prefer another book?

Thanks, Bino

Really depends on your level. I find these are good books:

  1. A good introductory text packed with examples is Elementary Linear Algebra by Stanley I. Grossman. Published by Wadsworth Publishing Company.

  2. A more advanced text is Linear Algebra by Larry Smith. Part of the UTM series by Springer-Verlag.

  3. For review purposes you can always get Linear Algebra by Seymour Lipschutz wich is part of the Schaum’s Outline Series published by McGraw Hill.
