for my project i need a bitmap of our earth's heightfield. does anybody know where to get one? tired of resultless googelin'..
an ashighaspossibleresolution greyscale jpg/png/somethingicouldconvert would be nice...

thanks first, very nice pictures, even special ones as cloud layer etc... but no heightmap, what is exactly what im looking for. these are rather made of radar analysis or something else than from visible range satelite photography.
this is just crazy, they have so many data images there, eg. amount of chlorophylum or temperature of the clouds ... but no height values.
so still searching..
