Flicker .......help!!!!!!

I have a battleship game in 3-D that is coming along fine. When a person clicks on there opponents grid a rocket is fired from one of the ships. Everything fickers while the rocket rises and rotates until its done. I use double buffering too!!!

Every time I draw out anything I call glFlush(); AND gluSwapBuffers(); …

Is this the right way to get smooth animation…sure doesn’t seem like it. Please help me!!!

Are you sure that you are drawing into the back buffer and not the front?
