Animation

I have a question. I have to do an animation project(simple 2d) for a class, and I am not sure how to do frame by frame animation. Every example I have found of “animation” uses rotates and the like. Someone told me that glTranslate should be used. Can anyone elaborate on that if true?
Thanks so much!

I just answered this in the advanced forum, but here goes again…

You use the transform functions like you mentioned above (glTranslate, glRotate etc) there really is no difference between doing this in 3D and doing it in 2D.

Guy, are you happy, whan you can fill a lot of disk space at servers?

Publishing with the same question in all possible forums… Pfe.
