View Full Version : game engine programming

Hi guys,
I've just read a lot of stuff on game engines. I know that writing an industrial-strength game engine is hara-kiri. But then I'd like to program one just for the sake of it. :D
I wonder if guys out here can help me out with respect to links to tutorials, e-books and the like.
Are there any game engines out there that are documented very well and can be "dissected" or have been discussed by column writers that is worth looking at.
Thanks in advance.

question: what kind of game engine do you want to develop? ex: 3D fps style? istropic/perspective style? 2D scroller style?
