Hi,

We are a group of students who have undertaken a project. Part of the domain of this project is to create an interface that can be used to open files on the .3ds format and view them. Pretty much like a gaming-engine.

We wonder if there are any people out there who know of any existing pre-made programs for this. Any source code under this topic would also be appreciated.

sincerely,
hulapupp

Discreet provides a free software for reading 3ds Files. It does, however, not help you showing the objects.

Look for the 3dsFTK (=File ToolKit) in google or directly at Discreet's homepage

You may also look for the code of a free or open source 3ds Viewer or modelling software (Blender?)
