Anyone else think it’s strange that reviewers now hardly mention ogl drivers anymore? Glancing through the new reviews for both NV and ATI cards it’s as if ogl is dead and gone… and I KNOW that is not the case. I’m always amazed that these so called “reviewers” still make no mention of Linux drivers but now you could be forgiven for thinking that they have been actively encouraged against any mention of ogl (I’m tempted to say “bribed” but hey what do I know).
Aint it the truth. GL is very much alive and kicking, thank you very much! Why anyone would want to have that 5000 pound gorilla named DirectX in their basement is beyond me. Needlessly complicated, hopelessly platform dependent, why it’s everything you’ve come to expect from Microsoft.
Long live OpenGL!
