is that good to install directx8? i’ve hear many od ppl were complaining about direcxt8.
by the way im on intel chip i810 with 128mb sdram. My question is that in half life i get only around 10-50fps with directx 8 and opengl. is there anyway to boost this rates? so on can anyone tell me which directx version will give me the best performance?
It shouldn’t hurt to install DirectX 8.1. I doubt it will improve performance, though. You’re best bet would probably be to upgrade to a Geforce2mx or Radeon video card, they can usually be found for about $50 from online retailers.
