Open GL ATI Radeon 7000/VE

When I play games on my computer they work fine until i start playing in servers with many people. Open Gl for some reason is very choppy. I tried using Direct 3D but that is even worse than Open GL. Can some one please tell me how to fix this problem?
The frame rates are very slow. I dont know why? It is 32 mb DDR. Plus my computer is a P4, 256 RamBus running windows 2000. I have problems with Counter Strike, Jedi Knight, etc… when i play multiplayer. Someone Help ME!!! PS: I already tried the ati fix.

Problem is you are using the Radeon VE, I have the same card but 64 MB. Its more of a 2d accelerator/work card than a gamer card.

Im going on a Counter-strike tourney and gonna upgrade to a GF 2 MX. I think you should do the same.

I dont mean you should upgrade to a Geforce 2 mx. I mean get a diffrent card.

When you get into CS, open the console and type the following:
ati_npatch 0
This turns off TRUFORM, which this card does not support.
