View Full Version : MOHAA - Crashing after completing "Clearing airfield level"

I am experiencing a problem with the MOHAA video game.
I am running a 500 mhz machine with an Intel 810 chipset.

I have downloaded the most current Intel 810 chipset drivers from the intel homepage.
The driver supposedly works with DirectX8.0....

I have also gone to the OpenGL setup website and have download the most current
drivers for that as well.

I can start the game fine. I can even play a few sequences....training works fine....everything works fine except when I finish blowing up the last plane on the "Clearing the airfield" level in the game.....I THEN GET THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE AFTER MOHAA CRASHES:

Server Shutdown
Not a JPEG file starts with: 0x00 0x00

Can you provide me with any recommendations on how to fix this?

Don't worry about replying to my message I figured the problem out on my own......
Just in case anyone is experiencing the same problem, the following is what I did to get the darn game to work......

1. Installed the most current drivers for my onboard Intel 810 chipset.
2. Changed my resolution to 800 x 600 for better performance.
3. Installed the most current JPEG Library from Intel.

This was the reason I was having problems with JPEG's......so I think.
I think that when a mission is completed and the large Black and White JPEG
images are shown in a slide show format that if your PC's JPEG library is
not up to par MOHAA will crash!!!

4. Completely uninstalled MOHAA and then re-installed MOHAA.

After doing all of these things MOHAA runs flawlessly.
