ATI Radeon 9000 OpenGL Problem

Hello i am having a problem. about 3 4 months ago i had my ati radeon 9000 PCI installed on this comp and everything worked fine with counterstrike. and last week i reformatted and i remembered i lost the cd to my radeon so i downloaded the new drivers and it wont let me run counterstrike under open gl :-.and it says counterstrike will not run proprely you will now play on software mod. and im gettin tired of playin with onboard graphics. D3D wokrs but it seems weird and laggy and it doesnt move right. so if anyone can help me with my problem on the open gl part.

I am having the same problem as most other people on this page, i am running windows XP with a Geforce fx 5600. Nvidia says the problem can be from seval things but the one thing they do say is that it needs to have its own IRQ. but windows xp does not allow me to change by irq

i think i might try and install windows 98 as a second os system
