I have a gateway sys which i use as my TV as well,thanx to the STB tv tuner card, and was given gateway drivers for my Riva TNT 2 GPU. when i update to any of the detonator series of drivers my Tv says some other 3d app is up, but games work fine.
Whut i would like to know is , will updating my GL driver deprive me of TV as well ?

The OpenGL drivers is in the detonator package. You can check if gateway has new drivers that fits your system better.
