This video card has A T&L engine, why in the hell is this not running? I have the most updated driver.

What you’ve got there is an OBSCURE card from an uncaring manufacterer.

Just because a card has a feature doesn’t mean its going to be compatible what a particular game or game type.

On paper though, you’re right. It should work.

Looks like the game needs s3 texture compression as well but the card cant handle it…

From the readme of the demo:

SUPPORTED CHIPSETS:

-ATI® Radeon 7200, 8500, 9000, 9500, 9700, 9800
-All nVidia® GeForce™ chipsets

Sorry I cant find SIS in there.

But after all its, just a demo not a final product. The reason they publish a demo is to get feedback from YOU. You should fill in a bug report regarding your 3d card not beeing supported.

I have the same problem actually…
I got the same message, and i’m using an old Voodoo 5.

i really wanted to play the demo

This game work On Xabre !!!. New Drivers R35302 - work very good. (Open GL 1.3.0 = GL 1.3). Old drivers is not support because (1.2.1 = GL 1.2). :-). New drivers - www.sis.com.

I got the same problem.
I have an ati radeon 9600 pro and I could play the 2 demos with no problems.
I don’t understand what this all means:

That means that the game could’nt load a file, that it’s looking for.

Try to reinstall the game, if the problem still persists you should go and BUY the game instead of using stupid and incomplete rips.

lol,

I was planning on buying it aswell m8, but since the US is one week ahead i like to try before the buy, if u catch my drift.
Anyway, thanks

Could not load OpenGL. Make sure that you have the latest drivers for your video card from the manufacturer’s web site.

but i have the latest Drivers (Omega Driver) for my ATI 9700

plz help!

You did not read the post above yours, right?

I have installed the 3.7 and its not working…

Try this board:
http://www.callofduty.org/forums/forumdi…2fafea34b5253ad

Lot of similiar problems. But it looks like quite a lot of ATI cards are causing problems. Still haven’t seen many problems from NVIDIA. Works great on my FX 5600 Ultra.

Did you install the Omega 3.7’s? or the original ATi 3.7’s? Cos ATi’s drivers are working perfectly

By the way, the game crashes if you put the OpenGL settings on your videocard to a maximum, dont know what they did, but it sure doesnt look like they tested the game on ATi cards :stuck_out_tongue:

I have that problem and i have an nvidia card…any ideas???

Ok i found a solution to my problem.

it seems as if it is an installation problem, for some reason the .PAK files were not correctly installed. So to oversome this i explored the cd’s and copied all the PAK files from cd1 and cd2 and pasted them in the main folder when there game is installed. i.e c rogram files/Call of Duty/Main/

i ignroed the pasting of the PAK files that were the same size but overwrite the files that are less than the new ones. This solved my problem and hopefully will solve yours.

P.S Check that you have the latest graphics card drivers and DirectX 9.0b installed

Reguards,
BoA

Why won’t it work?? I got directx 9.0b, latest drivers, OPENGL.

Can I download OpenGl 1.3 from somewhere? If yes, where?

Thanks
