win2000 with savage3 HELP PLEASE

i am running w2k pro with a viper z200 s3 chipset. i can play cs, quake3, and alice but not medal of honor[its all choppy]. when i play counter strike i have to use software support in the video options instead of open gl or my comp will lock up. also if i try and use an opengl screensaver it locks up. the software support instead of opengl is also making my fps stink average around 20.

Sorry dude!

But the game needs at least a 3d card with 16MB of videoram, your Savage3 only has 8MB.

If you would have read the readme file you would know that even the successors of the Savage3 (the Savage4 & Savage2000) are NOT supported by the game.

Sorry dude, blame EA not OpenGL.

no my viper z200 has 32 megs of ram

Then ít cant be using a Savage3 chip as you stated in the topic title.

In fact it uses a Savage2000. Nevertheless this is a cut´n´paste from the readme file that came with the game (someone already posted the hole thing on this board) but it look like nobody cares to read it…

No intro movies play. Various textures are corrupted.
Breakable windows are opaque until broken. Once
broken they have a corrupted texture.

opaque until broken. Once broken they have a corrupted
texture. Transparent red bomb placements are invisible.

the lowest video settings. Level load times are longer
than normal.
