I was wondering what kind of graphics card do I need in a laptop to support DirectX 9 and OpenGL 1.3 and greater. It doesn’t have to perform superb only that it runs. Does Shared memory have anything to do with this? Thanks.
To meet your requirements you nned a notebook with either a ATI mobility Radeon 9600 (or better) or a Nvidia FX 5200 GO (or better) with at least 64 MB of dedicated video memory.
Stay away from shared memory solutions, their 3d performance sucks.
