Simple question. I want to get a Geforce4 128 and the one i need must be OpenGL1.4 compatible. The only problem is that everyone one that ive looked at from circuit city, best buy, radio shack and newegg.com supports either 1.3 or 2.0

The question that i need answered is…Can openGL be upgraded ect i.e. if i get a card that has 1.3 compatability but i have a game that requires 1.4 can i download a driver and “upgrade” my card’s compatability?

To be fully OpenGL 1.4 compliant you need a GeforceFX 5200+ or Radeon 9500+ video card because only these fully support the ARB_fragment and ARB_vertex shaders.

No software can change that.

Now, that’s not to say that your card won’t run games… they just can’t use those particular features.
