After Effects CS4 does not support OpenGL 2.0 with my ATI Radeon HD4850 graphics card (supports OpenGL 2.1)

Most of the ATI Radeon HD xxxx cards support OpenGL 2D acceleration only for things such as viewing Blu-ray movies. Aside from this, they do not render much else in 2D and nothing in 3D.

I bet that if you play a DVD or Blu-ray on your card, you will notice the difference over other people’s computers/laptops that do not have that card.
