Here is a small code sample that shows how to build a perspective projection matrix. This method is useful when OpenGL 3.1 compliant code is required.

Or just read the glFrustum and gluPerspective spec. Available since a decade in the red book…
The code in the link is misguided since it uses the old matrix modes. (glMatrixMode)
I believe this link adds to the confusion that surrounds opengl 3 and forward. I Think it should be removed.
