OpenGL API-based Ca3D-Engine adds augmented lightmap technology, large map support and new GUI system
Feb 16, 2007
The Ca3D-Engine is a modern game engine with OpenGL API-based real-time graphics and multi-player network support for Windows and Linux. All OpenGL versions since 1.2 are supported for rendering. The new demo release adds the combination of precomputed Radiosity illumination with fully dynamic light GPU shaders and shadow rendering techniques for great results in rendering quality, detail and speed; support for very large indoor and outdoor maps; a new Lua-scripted GUI system that can also be used on in-game 3D ‘world’ panels; and a new file system that virtualizes all file access.
