Job Description:
Before any exciting, addictive game can become a reality, it must be developed! Join us in bringing a new game concept to fruition. As an EXPERIENCED 3D Graphics Programmer you should be able to successfully utilize your expertise in research, design and implementation of innovative graphics techniques to create technology for use in multiple games. Specifically, develop and optimize 3D graphics engines, architectures and pipelines for current and future game consoles & PCs. Combine your skills with other talented programmers to develop, test, tune and debug new & existing core rendering components. Work with artists to co-ordinate graphics deliverables. You will work to achieve individual, team, and project goals. Previous game engine or extensive graphics experience is critical.
Primary Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the development of vertex and pixel shaders, advanced lighting and shadow techniques and post-process screen effects.
General Education / Work Experience:
•BSCS or equivalent experience
•Minimum 3-5 years C/C++ programming experience
•Practical, real-world 3D graphics programming experience
•Keen interest in researching & implementing new graphics techniques
•Experience in HLSL and Cg shader programming
•Experience with console game development – PC & handhelds a plus
•Strong 3D math skills
•Expert technical design, coding, debugging
•Proactive problem solver – investigating all facets of the issue to seek resolution
•Excellent communication skills working within a large team of other programmers, artists, designers and producers
•Organized and detail oriented – able to focus on quality AND deadlines simultaneously
•Able to work independently and within a team environment
Additional specialized skills:
•Low-level graphics programming ability; including shaders
•Rendering techniques; including Scenegraphs, BSPs and occlusion culling
•Experience with particle systems
•Knowledge of 3D modeling & animation software – Maya a big plus!
