3D/C++ Graphics Software Developer

Parallel World Labs, Inc. specializes in the creation of unique industry-specific Virtual Worlds software and experiences. Successful applicants will be involved in a music-focused multi-user Virtual World project currently funded and under development. Our tools and environments are designed to amplify creative expression in virtual worlds.

3D Graphics Software Developer (limited –time employment contract)
Requirements:
• 3 yrs minimum experience in 3D graphics (ideally with OpenGL)
• Software design and architecture development experience
• Strong experience in C++, Visual Studio
• Knowledge of some of the following low level techniques: real time rendering, animation, character animation, physics, path-finding algorithms, audio-visual multimedia programming, game development, object oriented programming
• Knowledge of UML and design patterns is an asset.

C++ Software Developer (limited-time employment contract)
Requirements:
• 5 yrs minimum experience in C++, Visual Studio
• Software design and architecture development experience
• Knowledge of some of the following low level techniques: object oriented programming, standard template library, multi-threaded programming, synchronous and asynchronous networking, audio-visual multimedia programming, game development
• Knowledge of UML and Design Patterns is an asset.
Working Conditions:
• Ability to work independently in a small development group with minimum supervision
• Reporting to Director of R&D
• Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada
• Competitive salary, based on experience. Salary range $55,000 - 75,000.
• Located in Toronto or GTA (preferred, some tele-work may be possible)
