cannot paly any opengl rendered games

Hi guys, I come up with a serious problem lately. That is when I run a game(I tested quake3 and counter-strike) which uses opengl rendering engine, the game totally shutters and the game process turns to not responding in like every 5-7 seconds and the cpu usage of that game process goes up to 100%. Then I switched to desktop and switched back, the game goes back to respond for 5-7 seconds and shutters again even when I dont touch my mouse or keyborad or anything

Im sure its definitely something wrong with my system's opengl settings, because after I switch the rendering method to D3D in counter-strike video options, everyting goes smoothly and I get no shuttering ever again.

My graphic card is ZOTAC 8600gt using the newest Nvidia WHQL driver.

Any helps will be highly appreciated. Thx in advance!

uninstall the current driver and install the previous version.
