    Since you have an Intel graphics chip, 945, go to www.intel.com and search for your driver for your graphics. Download it and store it.
    Then go into your control panel and uninstall the video card driver. Reboot.
    Then install your new driver and reboot.
    That should give you GL 1.4.

    an open source GLU replacement library. Much more modern than GLU.
    float matrix[16], inverse_matrix[16];
    glhLoadIdentityf2(matrix);
    glhTranslatef2(matrix, 0.0, 0.0, 5.0);
    glhRotateAboutXf2(matrix, angleInRadians);
    glhScalef2(matrix, 1.0, 1.0, -1.0);
    glhQuickInvertMatrixf2(matrix, inverse_matrix);
    glUniformMatrix4fv(uniformLocation1, 1, FALSE, matrix);
    glUniformMatrix4fv(uniformLocation2, 1, FALSE, inverse_matrix);

    I am getting the following message trying to run Minecraft. I have Mobile Intel (R) 965 Express Chipset Family graphics card.

    I have upgraded this via intel and Acer. I have changed the graphic acceleration display setting in display on the control panel and still my kids can't play Minecraft. Can someone help please.
    Bad video card drivers!
    -----------------------

    Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
    This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

    Download this and install and run
    http://www.ozone3d.net/gpu_caps_viewer/

    It is an application which can gather information on GL. Click the OpenGL tab and verify the vendor name (it should be Intel), the GL version (should be 1.4 or 1.5 or 2.0), the renderer (this should be the actual video card type).
    If it says Microsoft, GL version 1.1, GDI renderer, then your GL drivers have failed to install.

    If you downloaded MinecraftSP.exe on mediafire.com,
    you just need to install the MinecraftSP.jar at http://www.2shared.com/file/b4ysqp3Z/MinecraftSP.html

    Intel's graphics card really sucks. While 965 was claimed to fully support DX10, on windows it does not support float point texture in OGL2.0 at all.
