    NV_video_capture

    Hi,

    lately, I discovered the extension "NV_video_capture" which claims to provide support for capturing video data from a "video capture device".

    No, I am curious as to what exactly is meant by "video capture device". Is a USB Webcam also a "video capture device" in the sense of the extension or is it solely Nvidia's "Quadro SDI Capture card"?

    NVIDIA Quadro SDI Capture card only.

    With this extension NVIDIA can transfer video data from capture card directly to GPU memory without roundtrip to system memory.
