No OpenGL 4.1 at Siggraph...? :/

The BOF schedule is released and it seams there is not space for an OpenGL 4.1 announcement or it’s a well set up “announcement surprized!”

I quite expect at least some new extensions but the schedule quite make sense to be credible… damn it!

http://www.khronos.org/news/events/detail/siggraph-la-2010/#topengl_bof

it’s been just a few months since 4.0, give them at least two more months.

For OpenGL 3.2 they managed :stuck_out_tongue:

I still expect some new stuff, extensions and probably some specifications revisions. Few days left to see!

I can’t remember seeing any scheduled announcements for OpenGL 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3/4.0 either. If I recall correctly they were just announced during the OpenGL BOF, but I might be wrong.

We’ll see what happens. I expected things like atomic read/writes that would justify an updated OpenGL 4.1 tbh.

Don’t know what this talk is about…

Jon Leech Khronos OpenGL Ecosystem update

What’s new with OpenGL 4

If you come to the BOF you’ll find out for yourself

Jon, as you might know, chairs the Ecosystem group inside the ARB. He’s going to provide an update on what the group has been doing.

psst, check out the extension registry… :stuck_out_tongue:

Holy cow  . Binaries, separate stages, multiple viewports - it’s complete !
Thanks for the heads-up!

awesomeness!

I cannot believe.
Great job ARB !
Thanks.
