I am interested in expanding the GLUT API to fit modern needs.

For one, I suggest that the mousewheel be set as button -1, and the up/down on the wheel will create the "up transition" or "down transition" events, respectively.

Lets see if we can put our heads together to get a GLUT v4 API in the works.
