    Open Inventor

I orginally posted this message under the Higher-Level API's forum, but I never got any response. I'm hoping it's because nobody ever goes under there, so when I post here everyone will see it and know what's wrong .

I'm having a little problem with Open Inventor. I run "ivview -p" and there is nothing noticiabley different then just running "ivview". According to the man page the -p is supposed to be a performace meter. Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone have any ideas? I've tried it with and without a filename on the command line.

    Re: Open Inventor

Two possible problems; I think that the perf data is rendered in an overlay plane which is not supported on all ogl/glx/X11 configurations (drivers, hardware, etc), and the perf data is displayed with a Text2 node (and fonts are still touch and go in OpenInventor).
