    NVida driver bug/s

well, it not about programing bugs, but i dont know who else to turn to. everytime i start my computer, the nview setup starts. everytime. no matter if i installed a hunderd times already, it keeps poping up at startup.
one other thing, i dont know if it is related to the drivers, but im using XP, and my task manger dissapears when i open it. so i cant close applications that get stuck or something.
those problems started after installing the new drivers. any ideas?
    thnx.

Grab this excellent utility and look for suspicious entries:

If you haven't done an uninstall/reinstall of the display drivers using Add/Remove Programs, please try that. I've heard stories of people having problems directly upgrading from pre 40.xx drivers to 40.xx or better. Just a guess.

The lastest 40.09 or smthn, that WHQL CANDIDATE is candidate to kill your computer. After installing that crap NFSHP2 & NHL2003 didn't run at all, after opening media center, everything hanged even on XP Pro, despite the fact I uninstalled last WHQL 4x.xx drivers.
I'like NVIDIAs products & drivers, but last ones are totalllll crap I recommend you to get back to previous 4x.xx drivers (WHQL certified)

If you are talking about so-called "leaked" drivers, then every web site that offers them says "use at your own risk".

I don't think I ever had lots of problems with official releases (anyway, I always use leaked ones!).

    Regards.

I have used leaked drivers and usually they're OK, but currently I'm speaking about http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=winxp-2k_41.09 , they arn't quite leaked

EDIT: If link dosn't work, remove "," at the end.

Sorry, I didn't realise you were talking about these ones. I think I tried them and can't remember any problem though...

currently i have lot of trouble with this driver revision.
since the last driver release, i got suddenly more bugreports from customers with configurations which worked before.(ie: AthlonXP/GF4)
i am currently trying to reproduce this bug.(actualy, i am downloading this driver right now...)
