    [offtopic] water simulation software

this off topic, but im posting here as other people may have some idea on what im looking for.

im looking for a program you can feed a height map of some sort for terrain, then get it to simulate ocean waves. It doesnt need to be real time, but needs to spit out height maps of the waves.

any one know of any? of been googling and cant find much :-/

    cheers.

    check this:
    http://www.sintef.no/static/AM/gpu/visualwave.html

the bottom chapter is about flow influenced by the sea bottom topography. its somewhat limited in size, not a whole ocean, but maybe a point to start off
and afaik its already for gpu...

    greets
    Paul
