G'Day !

I am building a vector drawing app, and I'm wondering how to handle the case of multiple drawings open at the same time (only one visible).

My first thought would be to have multiple backing pixmaps (one for each drawing). Is this the best way ? How would I create and update multiple pixmaps ?
