    VB?

How do I use OpenGL in VB? I'm a total beginner to run-time renders, but I really need this kind of thing in a game I'm writing.

personaly i use vc6, but for opengl in vb goto the menu that lets you select sets of controlls (like dx, cad, and extra buttons) there should be one for opengl. it will link all the libs for you & equip auto-complete to help beginers.

Actually, you'll need to get an OpenGL type-library first, then go to the Refrences menu to include it. (Not the Components menu.) I had found an OpenGL typelibrary somewhere, but I don't recall the URL offhand. Do a search on someplace like Google for "OpenGL typelibrary" and you'll probably find something.
