    Model Format?

I would like to make my own 3d model format. Though i dont know where to start. I know that i have to create a exporter for a 3d modeling program (i.e. max, maya, or milkshape). I would like to do one for max but i need a toolkit. Dont really want to spend the money for it either. Is there any good tutorials about making your own 3d model format? if so please post them it would help me out alot. Thanks!

    Hi !

Why do you your own format, can't you use one of the existing ones ?

In case not, have a look at existing loaders, on sourceforge for example is a library to load 3DS models, and also check out http://www.wotsit.org/

That's one of coolest resources I've ever found on the net about different 3d file formats: http://www.gametutorials.com/Tutoria...OpenGL_Pg4.htm
