    importing gmax and xsi files

    Has anyone tried reading vertices out of these file formats? I don't need any texture or object data.

    yeah, the .xsi isn't too bad. Softimage have provided a loded for their format already so it should be ok to read in (google it...).

    Whoops, I meant XSI EXP. From what I can tell, I won't be able to read data from either XSI EXP or Gmax. Maybe Blender3d is the only free modeling and animation package that can be used in game developement.
