    gluLiookAt() or TRANSLATION and ROTATION

    When compared the performace which one is better for viewing.
    a) Using gluLookAt()
    b) Combination of translation and rotation.

    it's not so much a question of performance, but a question of flexibility. lookat is going to drive you crazy eventually. if you're plannning a game engine - don't use it.
