    3d Cards for Laptops

    I would like to know why there no 3D Accelerated Cards in devolpment for Laptops??
    Like PCMCIA Card with the Accelarator on??
    Anybody ??

    According to the register nvidia is about to bring out an on motherboard upgrade in the shape of NV11 which will be more powerful than the current GForce 256 units. They are also offering a virtual AGP methord, whilist my knowledge of hardware is not good as far as I am aware cardbus is an extension of the PCI bus and thus it would be logicaly possibel for a mnufacturer to do a NV11 on a cardbus compatible PCCard. But it'll probably be at least 6 months before that happens if at all. Sorry
