    Mouse Distortion - OpenGL programs

On every OpenGL program I use, there is significant distortion in a box around the mouse. This happens on Second Life, Google Earth, Blender, Marble Blast, Torque Game Builder, etc. The distortion is bad enough to make all openGL programs unuseable. I have uninstalled and installed the newest drivers multiple times, but no luck.

I am using a GEForce7800GT (newest drivers) on Windows XP with a microsoft intellimouse 2.0.

Help on this would be REALLY appreciated. I've been trying to fix this on my own for months with no luck.

Do you use some fancy mouse cursor or mouse enhancement sw? If you do, try to disable that cursor/sw.

No, nothing fancy. Just the standard Microsoft mouse settings to the defaults. I find it really suspicious that a microsoft mouse is ruining all my openGL programs...but maybe I'm just being paranoid.

    Any other ideas?

Have you tried a different mouse?

    Cheers
