  1. Re: rotating around an axis offset from (0,0,0)

    I'm not sure if you're doing this right now, but have you looked at glPushMatrix and glPopMatrix?

    // set world xforms here, etc.

    // Stop affecting the world matrix, but take a copy of
    //...
  2. Re: rotating around an axis offset from (0,0,0)

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't you just do something like this in immediate mode OpenGL?

    glMatrixMode(GL_MODELVIEW);
    glLoadIdentity();

    // before any transformations, reset it to...

    Re: Whats the best 32bit image format file?

    One more vote for PNG here, it's a compressed, lossless, open format that supports RGBA, implemented by almost every image editor. What more do you want in a portable image format?

  7. Re: need to download OpenGL 2.1 or 1.2 to repair v

    X3500 or higher has OpenGL 2.0 support, anything below that is 1.5 or 1.4. GMA500 for Atom/Pentium M on the other hand (developed by the guys who brought you Kyro, PowerVR), supports OpenGL 2.0 and...

    Hypothetically; Since SGI still owns the copyrights to OpenGL, could they intervene with Khronos and assign a new functioning body?

    Re: The ARB announced OpenGL 3.0 and GLSL 1.30 today

    Jan, the good thing about it is that Larrabee is basically an extension card stuffed with x86's so you can already start programming a core without having to wait for an API. I have high expectations...

    This is crap, nothing like what was promised.

    Re: OpenGL hardware Acceleration no enable

    You said in your first post: "pro pci card". Is it really PCI or PCI Express? If it is PCI, you won't be able to get good performance in any case since the bus capacity is 133MB/s versus 4-8GB/s on...

    Re: OpenGL 3 Updates

    Don't worry, OpenGL cannot become GPL licensed since GPL applies to source code and OpenGL doesn't have any since it's a specification, not a product.
