    Re: Offset surface

You people have already taught me a lot. It seems that there were some concepts which I needed, and they weren't exactly of the nature of how to program, or mathematics, but rather about the status...

    Unless the NURBS surface...

    Offset surface

I have a NURBS surface. How can I render an offset surface, with this surface as a base. I want an exact representation- I could approximate the offset as another NURBS, but I don't like the idea. I...

    Offset surfaces

Offset surfaces are of great interest in Numerical Control, for cutting, in CAE for metal thickness, and in lots of other applications. This is nothing new. So why don't we have the ability to model...

    Offset surfaces

An offset of a polynomial or spline surface is rarely a member of that class, unless it is a pythagorean polynomial.

Such surfaces should be of great interest to the CAD/CAM/CAE Robotics, etc...
