Obviously, CAPTCHA don't work, they need to switch it out, or just moderate the first 5 posts from any new user.
That will stop pretty much all spam.

    Re: gDEBugger is free!!!

Would have been nice to play with this, but alas, I can't.

Anyone else with a AMD 6850 card had any luck with this program ? It does a instant crash when you try running it.

Re: P45 and some info please reply for new laptop

I can't stress that enough, intel is being very lackluster when it comes to openGL support. You would think with all the $$$ they make, they could afford to write better openGL drivers.

    Barthold, thanks for the response.
    It still is depressing though.

Re: The ARB announced OpenGL 3.0 and GLSL 1.30 tod

You really have to wonder what went on behind closed doors, while they were discussing the matter at hand.

There really isn't any other choice but openGL for people using non-window machines. ...

    Re: OpenGL 3 Updates

It is a pretty sad day. :sorrow:

It also means that the Khronos group should be ashamed at themselves.

There is no logical reason for naming it OpenGL 3.0 instead of 2.2/3/45/6/7/8/9.

    Why...

Re: OT: ATI anounces HW spec releases

I guess putting AMD in charge of things sure helps the linux people out now, at least now, maybe we will see better openGL support for linux.

    Re: nvidia driver error

There really is no reason why you couldn't have 2 PSUs in a system, just have to get them to turn on at the same time. They sell kits to do this.

I thought I'd post saying while doing some openGL...

    Re: texture memory problems

I was thinking about this also, how about if you upload a 8/16/32 MB texture to the card, then check for errors, then keep doing that until you get an error back, of course also do a...

Yes, it is sad, but they made their own bed.

What really would be sad, is if they shut down these boards, since I think they still run the server that opengl.org uses.

    Makes you wonder if...

I assume you are running in software mode, instead of hardware accelerated.
As for why, dunno, you would have to post your init stage code.

    Re: Conformance tests for drivers?

Yes, we are using extensions, nothing vendor specific though, ARB stuff mainly, and 1.2 and some 1.3 also.

    Conformance tests for drivers?

We have certain issues that are driving us mad, and it seems to be driver bugs at the root cause.

    ATI drivers still suck?

I am going to upgrade our punny GF2, to a GF4 TI or a ATI Radeon 8500, but after reading this (http://www.gamespy.com/e32002/pc/carmack/)

"For programmers, the 8500 has a much nicer fragment path...
