OpenGL forum upgrade April 25th at 4AM PST

Towards the end, the old forum did have spammers getting in. But it wasn't as pervasive as it is now, where we get 2-3 spammers every day. It was more a once-a-week kind of thing.

It is far worse than it ever has.
Obviously, CAPTCHA don't work, they need to switch it out, or just moderate the first 5 posts from any new user.
That will stop pretty much all spam.

At some point a week or two ago, clicking on the Forums button at the top of the opengl.org home page stopped taking you to the Forums list and instead landed you on the What's New tab.

Can we change the default back to giving you the Forum List? Didn't see a user option to control this but maybe I missed it (?)

I've just noticed that personal messages are disabled by default. Please, enable it if you want to receive pm.
Also, a question for the administrator: Is there any chance to increase the message quota?

We are actively working on the spam issue. I'd prefer not to have to resort to moderating all new users. We used to do that years ago, and its a pain. However, if all else fails, we will do that. We are trying out some plugins that are designed to be non intrusive and reduce spam.

Thank you very much! I have already enabled messages in my profile (although I cannot send/receive because boxes are overfilled), but most of the users are probably not. It was just a note for the community.

I believe these two issues are resolved.
