Text Editor using OPENGL

Can any one give me idea about hw 2 implement text editor using opengl....
my project requires that
1)when we press any key it should display on display screen.
2)when we press enter key cursor must go 2 next line.
3)when we press backspace previous char must be deleted......

plzzzzzzzzzzzzz help me out... plzzzzzz
