View Full Version : which fileformat to use

As a newbie to Cocoa-OpenGL, I am looking for a modeller. which file-format is best to use. I am seriously into buying Cinema4d as a modeller. Are there better 3d modellers out there ?

IMO Lightwave is more convenient, since its OBJ scene format is quite well documented; however if .3DS format exporting is supported in C4D (it is for LW) go for it, since it's the more convenient one, fairly documented and damn simple.
